We participate in Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, most major insurance plans and most HMOs and PPOs. Many health plans require a referral from a primary care physician and therefore we would recommend that all patients check with their individual carriers when calling for a consultation.

General Information

If your insurance is an HMO or any other insurance that requires a referral, it is YOUR responsibility to call your primary physician for the referral.

If you are scheduled for a screening colonoscopy (you have no symptoms with your bowels) and the physician finds a polyp or tissue that need to be biopsied during the colonoscopy, the colonoscopy is no longer considered a screening procedure and your insurance benefits may change. Please check with your insurance company prior to your scheduled appointment.

Please phone our Insurance person at (717)763-0430 ext.330 and leave the following information as soon as possible so that we may precertify your procedure:

  • Full Name of Insurance Company (example: Capitol Blue Cross, Aetna
  • HMO, etc.)
  • Identification Number (including Alpha prefix)
  • Phone number list on card for Precertification/Authorization (this is
  • usually an 800 number)

On the day of your appointment please plan on arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Please bring with you the following:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance Cards
  • Completed Registration Form
  • List of Current Medications
  • Pertinent Medical Records
